Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 2025-10-07 · Effective Date: 2025-10-07
1. Introduction
Quack Quack Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") develops digital applications and related services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with our websites, mobile applications, and other digital experiences (the "Services"). This policy applies to all Services operated by Quack Quack Labs LLC. Certain apps or platforms may include App-Specific Privacy details that describe additional practices unique to those products (see Per-app privacy details below). When app-specific details apply, they supplement this general Privacy Policy.
By using our Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide, improve, and secure our Services. The type and amount of information depend on how you interact with us.
A. Information You Provide
- Account or profile details (e.g., name, email address).
- User-entered data within our applications (e.g., logs, preferences, feedback, or performance data).
- Support or communication information when you contact us.
B. Automatically Collected Data
- Device and technical information (e.g., operating system, app version, crash reports).
- General usage statistics or performance metrics.
- Optional sensor data (e.g., heart rate, motion, or location) when a feature explicitly requests permission. We never access sensor data without your consent.
C. Third-Party Integrations
Some Services may connect with platform providers (such as Apple or Google) or analytics frameworks (such as Firebase) to enable functionality. Information shared with those services is governed by their privacy policies.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and operate our Services.
- Maintain, analyze, and improve performance.
- Respond to user inquiries and support requests.
- Ensure security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.
4. Data Storage and Security
We retain information only as long as necessary for operational or legal purposes. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Where Services rely on third-party infrastructure (e.g., Apple iCloud, Firebase), those providers manage storage under their own privacy and security policies.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting [email protected]. If a Service stores data locally on your device, deleting the app will typically remove that information as well.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Services are designed for general audiences and are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
7. Per-app privacy details
Certain Services require or offer additional privacy details specific to their functionality (for example, use of health data, game services, or biometric sensors). The sections below supplement this general policy for individual apps. For apps with their own website, that site hosts the authoritative privacy details.
Cohera (Apple Watch)
Cohera reads your heart rate from Apple HealthKit live during a breathing session to calculate your coherence score, and records each session to Apple Health as a workout. Heart-rate and session data are processed on your device and stored through Apple Health under Apple's privacy terms. Cohera uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or servers, and does not sell your data. You can remove your data through Apple Health or by deleting the app.
Smart Sips (iPhone & Apple Watch) — coming soon
Smart Sips shows an estimate of your Blood Alcohol Content (Widmark formula) — it is not a breathalyzer or medical advice, and never a sign it is safe to drive. To calculate your estimate it reads your biological sex and body weight from Apple Health and, where you enable health insights, additional read-only metrics such as resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, steps, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, and wrist temperature. It writes the drinks and mood entries you log back to Apple Health.
Smart Sips has no accounts and no server. Your data stays on your Apple devices and, if you use iCloud, syncs through your own private iCloud account so your iPhone and Apple Watch stay in step — Quack Quack Labs cannot access it. Health metrics read from Apple Health are used on your device to calculate your estimate and are not sent to us. Smart Sips uses no advertising and no third-party analytics, and never sells or shares your data.
Smart Sips offers in-app purchases (a subscription and a lifetime option) processed by Apple; we receive only your purchase status, never your payment details. You can delete your data at any time in the app, through the Apple Health app, or by deleting Smart Sips and clearing its iCloud data — because we keep no copy, that removes it. Requests: [email protected].
Math Dash (iOS) — coming soon
Math Dash does not use Apple Health. It uses Apple Game Center to sign you in and submit scores to leaderboards, and stores your local player profile on your device. Math Dash uses no advertising or third-party analytics beyond Apple's Game Center.
Lane Caddie (Apple Watch & iPhone)
Lane Caddie uses motion sensors on your device to detect and analyze your bowling shots. Lane Caddie has its own website at lanecaddie.com, which hosts its authoritative privacy details. [Link directly to Lane Caddie's own privacy policy once published.]
8. International Use
Our Services are operated in the United States. If you access them from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to or a copy of your information, ask for correction or deletion, or withdraw consent to processing where applicable. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. We will respond consistent with applicable privacy laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When changes occur, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify users through our apps or website.
